Civil War Souvenir Album with soldier & civilian inscriptions and sayings. This souvenir album was presented to a Mrs. Lou A. Fisk of Arrora, Ind. by W. A. Randall. This album was published by Leavitt & Allen of New York. It has a handfull of poems or saying written in it dating from either 1862 or 1863 that are signed and dated by the writer. The back pages have a pattern of business card spaces that friends and relatives signed their names in. Lou's brother was a Civil War soldier and signed his name and regiment in the back. Charles, H, Crowley Qr. Mr, Sergt. 83rd Ind. Inside a fancy figure 8 in the center of the back is Lieut. Harry Fisk. Co, A, 7th Ind. Harry began his military career as a private and rose to 2nd. Lt. Also soldier Mr. E. Cole 37th Regt. Ind. Vols. signed her book. He was Eleazer Cole and he enlisted as a private and rose to 1st Sergt. The book is in overall good condition for its age with wear and some cracks to the binding. A neat Civil War album with soldier and civilian inscriptions and even a few later niece inscriptions. $175
