Civil War Manufactured Confederate D-Guard Bowie Knife

Confederate D-Guard bowie knife. Its overall length is 19 1/4" with the blade measuring 14 3/4". The blade is double edged and 1 7/8" wide at its base. It is nicely made and could be from an Arsenal. The aged original wood grip has some wiggle as does the d-guard if you force it. The blades grind is very well done. The blade has numerous edge nicks. The blade also has more modern edge & blade sharpening & cleaning marks. The D-guard is blacksmith forged and has a wonderful uncleaned aged patina. The point is a bit rounded and the blade is lightly bent. It displays well. $2195
