Unidentified Civil War era silver identification shield. T-bar attachment and silver catch are present. The shield has diagonal, black enamel filled, Old English initials inscribed across the front. There are also two sets of inscribed script initials in opposite corners. The exterior border of the badge has a fancy engraved wriggle work design of the period. It measures 29.5 mm's tall and 25 mm's wide. $265
