Neat dug Revolutionary War USA intertwined large size coat button. It is a cast pewter button worn by Continental soldiers during the Rev. War. The front has an intertwined raised USA. It looks like the soldier who owned it carved the top portion of the button off and then discarded it. The edge of the button looks intentionally whittled off, as it is smooth, see the pictures. The button is smooth and solid with the pewter showing almost no ground wear. It measures 24 mm's in diameter. It was recovered on private property with permission in Williamsburg Va. $200
